Keeps the truck runnin'.... reel good... keep the usual maintenance and get high mileage, like any pre-2000 vehicle. I never had a vehicle (N=12) fall short of expectations, keep the fluids, plugs, timing belts, filters, seals, etc. up to code and you'll get 200k+A friend of mine has an older toyota truck, 550,000 miles.... original engine and transmission...Subies last 250,000+....Listen to the manual...
I wanted more info on the electrical systems: especially, what is the black box under the hood with black relays or something in it... no information at all on that; and a diagram of the fuse box stating what each fuse is for... didn't find it.On the flip side, it did diagnose my turn signal issue as needing a new flasher. I didn't realize that there were separate flashers for the turn signals and the hazard lights. Now I know.
Could have been written more informatively but as long as you have mechanical skills it works fin. Price was right I would recommend this if you have some know how.ðŸ‘
A repair manual is necessary, even with youtube and Google, buy it!
I got this for my husband because he bought a '96 Dodge Dakota and wanted to learn more about it and to fix a few things on the truck. He has really found in to be informative and extremely useful. The language is easy to understand for a layman too. He really loves it!
My husband has the Haynes Manuals on every vehicle we have ever owned. They are like chapters in his Bible. He loves to work on cars and trucks, but the increasing complexity of vehicle systems takes away a lot of his fun. The Haynes Manuals gives some of it back. They are understandable, thorough, correct. Thanks for putting some of the pleasure in car/truck ownership back in.
My teenage son saved his own money and purchased a 1995 Dodge Dakota with the 5 liter V8. He has been slowly fixing the truck up and I knew he could use this old school manual to help him get his Dakota running smoothly. It will help him fix simple mechanical and electrical issue and save money from the mechanic.
Book is in great condition. Has all the information that I was in the market for. Price is good
